TGI Friday's appoints Initiative to handle all its media planning and buying in the UK
15.03.2007
Initiative has been appointed to handle the planning and buying of TGI Friday’s in the UK.

TGI Friday’s was bought from Whitbread in the UK by Carlson, who already own the brand in the US. Extensive plans, backed by new investments, are now in place to re-launch the TGI Friday’s brand in the UK, as Carlson seeks to replicate its success in the US.

The business is worth in excess of £3 million in 2007. Austin West Media lost the account after Initiative pitched for it at the end of 2006.

Carlson Companies is a global leader in the marketing, travel and hospitality industries. Carlson is ranked amongst the largest privately owned corporations in the US.
