Selective Beauty appoints Initiative as first media agency in the UK

Initiative has been appointed to handle the media planning and buying for Selective Beauty UK
Selective Beauty is the International manufacturer and distributor of prestige fragrances and cosmetics. This is the first time the media planning and buying will be done by an agency in the UK, having previously been carried out in-house.

Perfume brands promoted by Selective Beauty Globally include Benetton, Burberry, Agent Provocateur, Bulgari. In the UK, brands include Agent Provocateur, Benetton, Paris Hilton, Lanvin, Lolita Lempicka, Vivienne Westwood. Initiative starts working on the account from January 2007, with future activity promoting Selective Beauty across the UK using Outdoor and Press.

Christophe Cervasel, CEO and co-founder of Selective Beauty says “Selective Beauty is the fastest growing beauty European company, with global presence”. Huge triple digit growth was achieved in the UK in 2006 and this trend is planned to continue for Selective Beauty in 2007.

Commenting on the win, Shelley Smyth, Managing Director of Selective Beauty UK said “High growth rates and increased media budgets have created the need to move media planning and buying to an agency. Initiative media has a great track record within the prestige sector and as such make an ideal partner for Selective Beauty”.

Group Account Director Jayne Roseman will head up the account at Initiative. The account is worth in excess of £2 million in 2007.
